DORIXÉ — Eco-Friendly Home & Office Cleaning Marketplace
Effective date: 28 June 2026 Last reviewed: 28 June 2026 Version: 2.0
This page is the central legal notice and identification page for the DORIXÉ platform ("DORIXÉ", "we", "us", "our"). It applies to users in the European Union, the United States, and elsewhere. It is published in English as the governing-language version; where the service is offered to you in another language, a translation may be provided for convenience, but the English version controls in the event of conflict. For our full contractual terms, privacy disclosures, and cookie information, see our [Terms of Service], [Privacy Policy], [U.S. Privacy Notice], [Cookie Policy], and [Affiliate & Referral Program Terms].
1. Who We Are (Service Provider Identification)

- U.S. principal place of business (if the U.S. arm is a separate entity): Not applicable: there is no separate US entity. DORIXÉ is operated from its registered German address shown above, which serves for notices and service of process for all users.
- Commercial / company register: DORIXÉ's commercial-register entry and number will be published here once registration is completed, before the service begins operating.
- VAT / tax identification number: DORIXÉ's commercial-register entry and number will be published here once registration is completed, before the service begins operating.
- Managing director / responsible person: The person responsible for DORIXÉ and its content is its founder, whose name will be published here as part of completing registration before public launch. Until then, the email addresses below are monitored and are the fastest way to reach us.
- Person responsible for content (§ 18 (2) MStV, where applicable): The person responsible for DORIXÉ and its content is its founder, whose name will be published here as part of completing registration before public launch. Until then, the email addresses below are monitored and are the fastest way to reach us.
Note: This page replaces a prior draft that contained placeholder German register data ("Musterstraße 1", "HRB 000000 B", "USt-ID DE 000000000"). Those placeholders are illustrative only and are not valid legal-identity data. The fields above must be completed with the real entity details before this notice is relied upon. Publishing a § 5 DDG (formerly § 5 TMG) Impressum with false or blank mandatory data is itself a legal risk in Germany and is not permitted.

Data Protection Officer and EU Representative
- Data Protection Officer (DPO): A DPO determination must be documented given the scale and nature of our processing (analytics, geolocation, two-sided behavioural data, identity verification). No Data Protection Officer is appointed. We have determined that one is not legally required under Art. 37 GDPR, given the small scale of our operation. Privacy contact: privacy@dorixé.com.
- EU representative (GDPR Art. 27): If the controller for EU personal data is established outside the EU, an EU representative is mandatory. Art. 27 GDPR does not apply: the controller is established in Germany (the EU), so no EU representative is required.
2. What DORIXÉ Is — A Marketplace, Not a Cleaning Company
DORIXÉ operates a two-sided online marketplace that connects:
- Clients — individuals and organisations who wish to book home or office cleaning services; and
- Cleaners / Providers — independent cleaning professionals who offer those services.
DORIXÉ does not itself perform cleaning services. When a Client books a Cleaner, the cleaning contract is formed directly between the Client and the Cleaner. DORIXÉ acts only as an intermediary technology platform that enables discovery, booking, communication, and payment.
Specifically:
- DORIXÉ is not the employer, agent, partner, or principal of any Cleaner. Cleaners are independent contractors who set their own rates, choose which jobs to accept, control how and when they perform their work, and may work for competing platforms.
- DORIXÉ is not a party to the cleaning contract between Client and Cleaner and is not responsible for the performance, quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any cleaning service.
- Cleaners are responsible for their own taxes, social contributions, licences, permits, and lawful operation, and for obtaining and maintaining their own insurance (see Section 6).
The detailed terms of this relationship — including the EU Platform Work Directive presumption and the U.S. independent-contractor / ABC-test position — are set out in the [Terms of Service] and any separate Cleaner / Provider Agreement.
3. How the Marketplace Works (Key Commercial Facts)
The following is a plain-language summary of the platform's main features. The binding rules are in the [Terms of Service].
3.1 Pricing, commission and payouts
- Cleaners set their own rates (per-hour or per-job), recurring-booking discounts, and optional paid add-ons.
- DORIXÉ charges a commission for site maintenance and operating costs. This commission is deducted from the Cleaner's payout — it is not added on top of the price the Client pays. The commission rate is set by DORIXÉ and applied to bookings.
- Prices shown to consumers are intended to be the total price payable. For EU consumers, prices are shown inclusive of applicable VAT/taxes. The all-in total (service + any add-ons + optional carbon-offset contribution + applicable tax) is itemised before you confirm and pay.
3.2 Payments and fund handling
- Payments are processed by Stripe and Stripe Connect (using destination charges).
- When you book, your payment is authorised and held by our payment processor (Stripe). The Cleaner is paid, and your card is charged, only after the service is completed (manual capture). DORIXÉ does not itself hold customer funds and is not a bank, escrow agent, or e-money institution. Payment services are provided by Stripe under Stripe's terms.
- Cleaner payouts are settled on an approximately weekly basis via Stripe Connect.
- The platform supports multiple currencies (EUR and USD) and charges in the relevant currency for the market.
3.3 Bidding marketplace and recurring bookings
- In addition to direct booking, Clients may post jobs that Cleaners bid on. The main parameters used to rank Cleaners and bids are described in the [Terms of Service] (Platform-to-Business transparency).
- Recurring bookings automatically charge the Client's saved payment method each cycle. This is an auto-renewing arrangement: the per-cycle amount, frequency, and how to cancel are disclosed before setup, affirmative consent is captured, an advance reminder is sent before each charge, and the Client can cancel anytime online without penalty. See the "Recurring Bookings & Automatic Payments" section of the [Terms of Service].
3.4 Cancellations, refunds and the EU right of withdrawal
- Contractual cancellation tiers (applicable only after any statutory withdrawal right has lapsed or been validly waived): more than 48 hours before the booking, 100% refund; 24–48 hours before, 50% refund; less than 24 hours before, 0% refund. If a Cleaner cancels, the Client receives a 100% refund.
- EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, which always takes precedence over the contractual tiers. Where a service is to begin within the 14-day window, we capture your express request to begin early and your acknowledgement of the consequences. Full details and the Model Withdrawal Form are in the [Terms of Service].
- Cancellation fees are framed as a reasonable estimate of the Cleaner's lost-slot/opportunity cost, with a hardship/force-majeure carve-out, and never as a penalty.
4. Verification of Cleaners — What We Do and Do Not Check
To be transparent and to avoid any misleading impression, the following describes the verification DORIXÉ actually performs:
- What we do: DORIXÉ verifies a Cleaner's identity using Stripe Identity (which may include government-ID document checks and, where used, a selfie/face match).
- What we do NOT do: DORIXÉ does not conduct criminal-background checks, does not verify or guarantee that any Cleaner holds insurance, and does not itself certify any Cleaner's eco/sustainability credentials or professional qualifications.
- Any insurance, eco-practice, certification, or qualification represented by a Cleaner is self-declared by that independent Cleaner and is not independently verified by DORIXÉ.
- DORIXÉ does not warrant or guarantee the conduct, honesty, qualifications, insurance status, criminal history, or work quality of any Cleaner. Clients engage Cleaners at their own risk, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections.
DORIXÉ does not describe Cleaners as "background-checked", "fully insured", "EU-insured", or "eco-certified" on this platform unless and until such checks are actually performed, evidenced, and accurately scoped. Where any such claim is made in future, it will state who performs the check, how often, and against what standard.
5. Sustainability and Environmental ("Green") Claims
DORIXÉ positions itself as an eco-friendly marketplace and offers an optional carbon-offset add-on. To comply with the EU Unfair Commercial Practices regime and Green Claims direction, and the U.S. FTC Green Guides, we disclose the basis of our environmental claims:
- Eco levels assigned to Cleaners (e.g. basic / certified / premium / zero-impact tiers) are, unless expressly stated otherwise, DORIXÉ-defined and self-declared by the Cleaner — they are not independent third-party certifications. We do not use the words "certified" or "verified" for self-declared status, and we avoid unqualified absolute terms such as "zero impact" or "carbon-neutral" for the service itself absent independent substantiation.
- Carbon-offset add-on: this is a voluntary, optional contribution that is not part of the Cleaner's fee. The offset provider/registry, project type, the tCO₂e basis, and the methodology are disclosed at checkout. The contribution is released/refunded if the booking is cancelled or refunded (it is included in the refund base of a full refund) and is non-refundable once the associated service has been completed. Its VAT/tax treatment is stated at checkout.
- We do not publish unqualified third-party verification claims (such as "verified by" a named auditor) unless a real, documented audit relationship exists. Substantiation evidence for any environmental claim is kept on file.
Full detail is in the "Sustainability & Eco Claims" section of the [Terms of Service].
6. Insurance
- DORIXÉ does not provide any insurance cover for Cleaners or Clients. DORIXÉ is an intermediary platform and carries no liability or property insurance on behalf of users..
- Cleaners are independent contractors solely responsible for any damage, loss, or injury arising from their services, and are required to carry and maintain their own appropriate liability insurance as a condition of listing.
- Clients should not assume any Cleaner is insured unless that Cleaner has independently confirmed it; DORIXÉ does not verify Cleaner insurance (see Section 4).
7. User-Generated Content, Reviews and Home Photos
The platform hosts user-generated content, including two-way reviews (Clients and Cleaners rate each other) and before/after photos of Clients' premises uploaded for job documentation and dispute evidence.
- Reviews are published on the basis of our legitimate interest in a trustworthy marketplace. They must be genuine, lawful, and about a real experience; we do not permit fake, compensated, AI-generated, or selectively-suppressed reviews, and we do not delete or edit honest negative reviews except under a neutral, published policy. A reviewed person may seek correction, exercise a right of reply, and use our objection/takedown route.
- Home photos and precise geolocation are high-sensitivity data. They are used only for the booking or dispute to which they relate, are access-controlled, are stored with our file-storage processor, and are subject to specific retention and deletion rules (see the [Privacy Policy] / [U.S. Privacy Notice]). Uploaders must not capture identifiable third parties or children and must hold any necessary consents.
- Notice-and-takedown: we provide a mechanism to report unlawful, infringing, or privacy-violating content, consistent with the EU Digital Services Act (notice-and-action) and U.S. DMCA § 512. Designated takedown / DMCA agent: Reports may be sent to abuse@dorixé.com, addressed to the DORIXÉ Copyright Agent. We act on valid notices under the EU Digital Services Act and 17 U.S.C. §512, and will register and publish a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office..
8. Affiliate, Referral and Eco-Store Disclosures
- DORIXÉ operates an affiliate / referral program in which both registered users and standalone influencers can earn commission on referred bookings. Participation is governed by the [Affiliate & Referral Program Terms], which require affiliates to clearly and conspicuously disclose their material connection (e.g. "#ad" / "paid partner"), to make no false or unsubstantiated claims, and to comply with the FTC Endorsement Guides, the EU UCPD, and anti-spam laws.
- The Eco-store links to third-party products via affiliate links. Those products are sold by the relevant third party, not by DORIXÉ, and DORIXÉ may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. This affiliate relationship is disclosed conspicuously next to the relevant links.
- Affiliate/referral tracking that uses non-essential cookies or identifiers is loaded only with consent (see the [Cookie Policy]).
9. Liability (with Mandatory Consumer Carve-Outs)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DORIXÉ's liability arising out of or in connection with the platform is limited as set out in the [Terms of Service] (including a fee-based cap and an exclusion of indirect/consequential damages for non-consumer matters).
Nothing in this notice or in our Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law, including:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- gross negligence or wilful misconduct; and
- any non-excludable statutory rights of consumers (including EU consumer guarantees and applicable U.S. state consumer protections).
As a hosting intermediary, our responsibility for third-party content stored on the platform is limited in accordance with applicable intermediary-liability law (including the EU Digital Services Act and corresponding U.S. safe-harbour provisions); we are not obliged to generally monitor the content users transmit or store, but we will act on valid notices (see Section 7).
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 EU consumers
- Internal complaints first: we ask Clients and Cleaners to raise complaints through our internal process before initiating a payment-card chargeback. DORIXÉ may, at its discretion, offer good-faith dispute-resolution assistance between Client and Cleaner; this is a goodwill service and is not a statutory consumer-ADR procedure.
- Online Dispute Resolution (ODR): The European Commission provides an ODR platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. Our contact email is given in Section 1.
- Consumer ADR (Verbraucherstreitbeilegung): We are not obliged to, and do not commit to, participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle). Unless and until we commit to a named consumer-arbitration body, we are not obliged to, and do not undertake to, participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. This position is intended to be consistent with the good-faith mediation described above (which is voluntary and distinct from statutory ADR).
- Forum and law for EU consumers: EU consumers retain the mandatory protections and the courts of their country of residence (Rome I Art. 6; Brussels Ia Arts. 17–19). No clause in our Terms purports to deprive an EU consumer of those rights.
10.2 U.S. users
- Internal complaints first: as above, please use our internal complaint process before a chargeback.
- Governing law and dispute resolution for U.S. users are set out in the U.S. section of the [Terms of Service], which is intended to include a chosen U.S. governing law and venue German governing law and the courts of Berlin, Germany (there is no separate US entity), without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection and small-claims rights of the user's US state of residence; we do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver and may include a binding individual-arbitration provision with a class-action waiver, a 30-day opt-out, an informal pre-arbitration notice period, and a small-claims carve-out. Where applicable, these are presented conspicuously in the Terms.
10.3 Business users (Cleaners)
- For EU business counterparties, the default governing law and forum, and our Platform-to-Business internal complaint-handling, suspension/termination notice, and ranking-transparency commitments, are set out in the [Terms of Service].
11. Privacy, Data Protection and Cookies (Summary)
This is a summary; the full disclosures are in the [Privacy Policy] (GDPR / EU), the [U.S. Privacy Notice] (CCPA/CPRA and other U.S. state laws), and the [Cookie Policy].
- Personal data we handle includes: account information; service/home addresses and precise geolocation; before/after photos of premises; reviews and in-platform messages; payment data (via Stripe); identity-verification data (via Stripe Identity); IP and analytics data; and consent-based marketing data.
- Identity verification of Cleaners via Stripe Identity may involve ID documents and (where used) biometric face-matching, which can be special-category data; the legal basis, retention, and our DPIA position are described in the [Privacy Policy].
- Subprocessors (accurate, dated list maintained in the [Privacy Policy]): Stripe (payments) and Stripe Identity (identity verification); Clerk (authentication); Resend (email); Backblaze B2 (file/photo storage); Pusher (realtime); Inngest (background jobs); Sentry (error monitoring); and Umami (analytics). Some of these process data in, or transfer data to, the United States or other third countries; the applicable transfer mechanism (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification where applicable, otherwise EU Standard Contractual Clauses with supplementary measures) is stated per processor, and copies of safeguards are available on request to the privacy contact in Section 1.
- Consent and cookies: non-essential cookies and analytics (including Umami) and affiliate/referral tracking load only after you opt in. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies with equal ease, manage granular preferences, and re-open the consent manager at any time via the persistent "Cookie settings" link in the footer. For U.S. visitors, we honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out where applicable.
- Your rights: EU data subjects may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. U.S. residents may exercise applicable rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, with an authorized-agent route and an appeals process where required. Use the relevant contact in Section 1.
- Marketing emails are sent only with a prior, separate, opt-in consent (or where a narrow soft-opt-in genuinely applies); every commercial message includes a one-click unsubscribe, and our marketing emails to U.S. recipients include a valid physical postal address.
- Children: the platform is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18 to transact or act as a Cleaner/affiliate; the minimum age to hold any account is 16 in the EU (or the applicable member-state digital-consent age) and 13 in the U.S. We do not knowingly collect data from children below the applicable threshold.
- Data breaches: where required, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours and affected individuals without undue delay.
12. Intellectual Property and Brand Use
The DORIXÉ platform, its content, software, and trademarks are owned by DORIXÉ or its licensors DORIXÉ and the DORIXÉ logo are trademarks of the operator; registration numbers, where the marks are registered, will be listed here.. No right to use the DORIXÉ name or marks is granted except as expressly permitted in the [Terms of Service] or the [Affiliate & Referral Program Terms]. Uncontrolled use of the marks (including bidding on the trademark, registering confusingly similar domains, or implying a partnership or endorsement beyond an existing relationship) is prohibited.
13. Liability for Links and Content (Germany — § 7 ff. DDG)
As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws (§ 7 (1) DDG, formerly TMG). However, under §§ 8 to 10 DDG we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected; any such liability arises only from the point in time at which we become aware of a specific infringement, upon notice of which we will remove the content promptly.
Our offering contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no control. We accept no liability for this external content; the respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content.
14. Changes to This Notice and to Our Terms
We may update this Legal Notice, the [Terms of Service], and the [Privacy Policy] from time to time. For material changes, we will give reasonable advance notice by email and/or in-app before they take effect, and — for EU consumers — a right to terminate before the changes take effect. The "Effective date", "Last reviewed", and "Version" at the top of this page are updated on every change, and we review our legal pages at least every 12 months.
*This Legal Notice should be read together with the [Terms of Service], [Privacy Policy], [U.S. Privacy Notice], [Cookie Policy], and [Affiliate & Referral Program Terms].*
